And that is the end of Vol. 2. I hope you all enjoyed it. It felt like a long, bumpy journey, but I'm happy with how it turned out. If you missed the Kickstarter, you can preorder the book now.
So, when's Vol. 3 coming? Well, it might be a long while. I've decided to take a break from drawing Pang for an indeterminate amount of time. There are a couple reasons for this. First, I want to write Vol. 3 in its entirety before I start drawing it, which is not how I've operated these past years working on Vol. 1 & 2. This is the last volume and I want to get it right, and not feel like I'm getting lost half way through.
After finishing Vol. 2, I really needed to step away from Pang and cleanse my palette a bit. So this is the second reason: I'm going to work on another comic. If you've been following me for years, you've perhaps seen me mention Rickety Stitch and the Gelatinous Cube. This is a fantasy comic that I've already written with my friend. Now I'm going to draw the first book. I don't plan on it taking as long as these Pang volumes have taken. I feel like I'm capable of going faster at this point.
So here's what I'm asking you to do: please please follow me on Tumblr and Twitter. I will leave open the possibility of Eight Herbs Mountain comics appearing here at some point, but that is no guarantee; this site isn't going to be updated for a while. I will, however be updating my Tumblr with frequent news and progress on the new comic, and Pang when I get going on it. Follow me!
Also, please don't worry about me abandoning Pang forever and never finishing Vol. 3. That will never happen unless I'm struck down by the gods! Thanks for reading!
